Program Description
What should teachers do to help students become better learners? This presentation explores scientifically-based research on the brain and learning and shares important clues to meaning, memory, retention and use of time. Participants will learn about guiding teachers to use specific strategies to engage students and help them remember the content being taught and will receive important "tools" for designing brain-compatible lessons. Templates will be provided to instructional leaders to share with teachers.Virginia Standard(s) Addressed

By the end of this program participants will demonstrate an understanding of powerful brain-compatible lesson design.
